This is the first terra cotta piece I did a few months ago. Did this one completely from my head, in just one sitting... about 4 hours perhaps. I wanted it to have a bit of an art nouveau look.
I was curious if you could give some advice about making the eye set of a sculpture look more realistic. I'm attempting to sculpt and more realistic form and I'm stuggling with the eyes.
Sure. You could use round metal beads and sculpt the eyelids over them. The key is getting them in the right spot and the right depth. That might be good practice. Just don't fire that in a kiln or it'll probably melt.
